Wael Hamamreh and Dergham Fares MOTA
Dr. Wael Hamamreh works at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. He is the director of publication and the head of the scientific committee at the ministry. In 2014, he earned a PhD in archaeology from Rome’s La Sapienza University, Oriental Studies. His dissertation topic focused on fortification systems during the Middle Bronze Age in Palestine. Earlier degrees include a master’s degree in classical archaeology (Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods) from Yarmouk University in Jordan and a bachelor’s degree in history and archaeology from Birzeit University. Dr. Dergham Fares is the Director of Development of Tourism Sites at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. He holds a BSc in history from Constantine University, Algeria, an MSc in history from An-Najah University, Palestine, and a PhD in tourism guidance from Fayoum University, Egypt. His dissertation was titled: “Complications of a Tourist Guide in Palestine.”
