Luisa Morgantini, a longtime trade union leader in the Italian metalworkers’ union, is a human rights defender, an active member of the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, a feminist, and an activist who stands against war and violence and for the self-determination of the Palestinian people, free from occupation and colonization.
